YOUR
Voice at the State Legislature

The HBACA is actively engaged with state, county and municipally elected officials and their staff to ensure your voice is heard. The Association aggressively works to create a regulatory environment that is fair and predictable for the homebuilding and development industry.  Our efforts have resulted in landmark legislative successes and regulatory actions which create a better, more predictable business environment for your business.

The HBACA works with members to identify, assess and respond to policies or proposals such as mandated design elements that impact homebuilders’ ability to offer workforce housing. We fight to keep homes within reach of working families while meeting homebuyer's demand for value in quality neighborhoods.

At the Arizona State Legislature, our efforts have been successful on a range of issues including builders right to repair/construction defect legislation, state land reform, HOA regulation, Department of Real Estate policies and staffing, the Registrar of Contractors role and authority, land use/private property and water rights, to mention just a few key areas.

What has the HBACA done lately?
Check out our new Actions Speak Louder newsletter...it outlines what the HBACA has been working on at the capitol and also our efforts on the city and county levels.  It is a great way for you to see why being a member of the HBACA is so beneficial to companies working in the home building industry.
